Ammon News - Health Minister Dr. Ibrahim Badour said on Tuesday that the Ministry of Health plans to appoint 3,000 employees as part of its organizational framework for this year.
Al-Badour noted that Prime Minister Jafar Hassan stressed the importance of keeping the annual number of new positions at the ministry at 3,000, with no reduction compared to previous years. He affirmed that the ministry will proceed with appointing 3,000 staff members in 2026.
Badour also explained that the Ministry will contract doctors in rare specialties not currently available at public hospitals under specific standards and conditions, as part of efforts to attract highly qualified medical professionals.
Additionally, he revealed that a committee is drafting regulations to organize non-surgical cosmetic procedures, ensuring they are performed only by licensed and qualified practitioners, while preventing unqualified individuals from carrying out such services.
