Ammon News - The Eastern Military Zone early Thursday morning thwarted an attempt to smuggle a quantity of narcotics within its area of responsibility. The drugs were being transported via balloons guided by electronic devices.
Border Guard units detected the balloons and intercepted them, bringing them and their cargo down within Jordanian territory in coordination with security agencies and the Anti-Narcotics Department.
The seized items were transferred to the relevant authorities for further action.
