Ammon News - The Highway Patrol Department on Sunday warned of fog formation and reduced horizontal visibility in some areas.
In a post on its official social media platforms, the department urged drivers to take precautionary measures while driving in foggy conditions. These include using low-beam headlights or fog lights where available, slowing down, remaining patient, avoiding sudden lane changes or overtaking, and ensuring the use of turn signals to help other drivers anticipate movements.
The department also advised motorists to stay focused by avoiding distractions such as mobile phones, rely on road edges or lane markings for guidance, keep windshields and headlights clean, use wipers and defrosters when needed, and refrain from stopping on highways or busy roads to prevent accidents.
