Ammon News - The Eastern Military Zone on Wednesday morning thwarted two attempts to smuggle large quantities of narcotics within its area of ​​responsibility. The drugs were transported using balloons guided by rudimentary devices.

The balloons and their cargo were intercepted and shot down inside Jordanian territory after being spotted at two different locations by border guards in coordination with security agencies and the Anti-Narcotics Department.

The seized materials were handed over to the competent authorities for necessary action.
