Mild Weather on Monday With Unstable Conditions Overnight

24-11-2025 10:29 AM

Ammon News - Weather on Monday is expected to be generally mild, with medium- and high-altitude clouds appearing at intervals. Winds will blow from the southeast at moderate speeds.

According to the Jordan Meteorological Department, conditions will shift later tonight as the region comes under the influence of an unstable weather pattern. Cloud cover will increase at various levels, and scattered showers are expected in parts of the western regions, occasionally accompanied by thunder. Winds will turn northwesterly, remaining moderate but becoming active at times and stirring dust.

The Department cautions about reduced visibility due to dust, particularly in desert areas, and the possibility of fog forming late at night over high mountain elevations, as well as slippery roads in areas that receive rainfall.

Unstable weather continues on Tuesday, with temperatures falling and conditions turning slightly cooler. Morning showers are expected in parts of the west, which may be heavy at times and accompanied by thunder and hail, potentially leading to flash floods in valleys and low-lying areas, including the Dead Sea region.

As the day progresses, rainfall is expected to spread intermittently to other regions before gradually weakening by evening and night, allowing conditions to stabilize. Northwesterly winds will remain moderate, becoming active at times and raising dust.

On Wednesday, conditions turn more stable and slightly cool, particularly over high terrain, while the valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba experience mild weather. Winds will be moderate and easterly.

A slight rise in temperatures follows on Thursday, bringing pleasant conditions in most regions and mild weather in the valley areas, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba, with moderate southeasterly winds that may become active at intervals.

Monday’s temperatures range from 25 C–12 C in East Amman and 23 C–10 C in West Amman. The northern highlands are forecast at 21 C–11 C, while the Sharah highlands record 23 C–10 C.

Desert regions will see 26 C–10 C, the plains 25 C–11 C, the northern valley 32 C–17 C, the southern valley 34 C–23 C, the Dead Sea 33 C–22 C, and Aqaba 34 C–23 C.
