ACC highlights Jordan's transport development in Vienna conference

Ammon News - Amman Chamber of Commerce (ACC), represented by its First Vice Chairman, Nabil Khatib, and Board Member, Khattab Banna, participated in the International Mobility Days 2025, hosted by the Austrian capital, Vienna.

According to an ACC statement issued on Saturday, the conference, which concluded its activities on Friday evening, was organized by the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber in cooperation with the Enterprise Europe Network and a number of international institutions concerned with mobility and technology.

During his participation as a speaker in one of the main sessions, Khatib highlighted the Jordanian experience in developing the transport and logistics sector, adding that Jordan possesses "strong capabilities that qualify it to be a regional hub" for the movement of goods and services.

Khatib that: "Jordan has an exceptional strategic location linking the Levant, the Gulf, and North Africa. The Kingdom has a dynamic private sector and qualified human resources."

To improve the sector, Khatib called for accelerating smart connectivity projects and enhancing integration between ports, airports, and logistics centers.

Khatib said the world is currently witnessing a rapid race towards digitalization and the adoption of smart technologies in managing trade.

"The transport sector no longer relies solely on traditional infrastructure, but rather on integrated systems that utilize digital analytics, artificial intelligence, and real-time tracking to enhance the efficiency of supply chains," he pointed out.

Khatib stated the chamber's participation stems from its efforts to strengthen global partnerships and benefit from European expertise in the fields of green transportation, smart fleet management, and sustainable infrastructure.
