Ammon News - Gold prices witnessed a local surge on Thursday, climbing by JOD 0.70 per gram, according to the official pricing issued by the General Syndicate for Owners of Jewelry Shops and Precious Stones Trading. This increase reflects movement in the local market, making gold purchases more expensive for consumers.
The selling price for one gram of 21-karat gold, the most commonly traded purity, reached JOD 86.30 for sales from jewelry shops, while the corresponding purchasing price (from the public) was set at JOD 82.80.
The daily bulletin also indicated increases across other popular purities. The selling price for a single gram of 24-karat, 18-karat, and 14-karat gold rose to JOD 98.75, JOD 76.50, and JOD 58.10, respectively, for sales conducted by local jewelers.
