Ammon News - Jordan is participating in the First Global FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations) Exhibition, held in Rome from October 10 to 13 with the participation of 140 countries.

In press remarks, Minister of Agriculture Saeb Khreisat said the participation reflects the ministry’s efforts in coordination with the Jordanian Embassy in Rome.

Around 20 Jordanian companies, institutions, and associations representing various sectors, are taking part in the event, which focuses on innovation in agri-food systems and agricultural products.

Khresat noted this is Jordan’s first participation of such scale and diversity, adding that the Jordanian company Manaseer Group achieved a "global milestone" by winning FAO’s international technical recognition award for excellence in land, water, and resource management.

The minister announced the award will be presented during the official ceremony marking the organization’s 80th anniversary.

The Jordanian participation showcases products such as olive oil, dates, honey, and saffron, along with exhibits on agricultural product marketing and food technology.

The venues also feature displays of modern agricultural technologies related to seeds and fertilizers, interactive sessions, and a pavilion showcasing traditional Jordanian foods, in addition to highlighting advanced biotechnological industries in veterinary medicines and vaccines.
