Ammon News - A delegation from the Independent Election Commission (IEC) reviewed Sunday the progress of the electoral process for the Syrian People's Assembly elections.

According to a statement by the IEC, the Jordanian delegation, comprising Commissioner Jihad Momani and Assistant Secretary-General Mohammed Hunaiti, attended the Syrian parliamentary elections at the invitation of the Syrian High Elections Commission.

Momani underscored the IEC’s readiness to cooperate with its Syrian counterpart and provide technical assistance, particularly in training and other electoral fields.

For his part, the head of the Syrian High Elections Commission and Director of the Arab Affairs Department at the Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mohammed Ahmad, commended Jordan’s constructive role in supporting Syria across various domains.
