04-10-2025 11:14 AM

Ammon News - Jordan's comprehensive government service centres processed a total of 4,117,550 transactions by the end of last September and welcomed 1,657,763 visitors.

In a statement to "Petra," Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, Sami Smeirat, stressed these centres' importance in enhancing citizens' confidence in public services and streamlining procedures, as an embodiment of the Kingdom's visions for economic and administrative modernization.

To date, Smeirat said the ministry currently operates 9 government service centres across the Kingdom's governorates and is working to increase this number to 16 facilities in the coming period.

Smeirat noted this process will ensure delivery of services to citizens at their locations and provide a "modern and integrated" environment for the "smooth and convenient" completion of their transactions.

These centres represent an "advanced model" for integrating digital and direct services, contributing to raising the efficiency of the government sector and improving citizens' life quality, he pointed out.

The ministry, he stated, is continuing to develop these centres to provide new services, in line with the goals of economic and administrative modernization visions, which is a translation of the directives of His Majesty the King and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince to place citizens at the core of the Kingdom's development process.

For their part, visitors confirmed these services are "excellent," praising their employees' "remarkable" cooperation, which helped in completing paperwork easily and without any shortcomings.

On their performance, they added that staff are "responsible and work quickly to complete transactions, as documents are promptly and easily certified."

The first centre was established in Amman's Muqablin neighborhood and provides 153 government services through 29 institutions.
