Jordan, Morocco Exchange Expertise in Vocational Training

02-10-2025 02:50 PM

Ammon News - Minister of Labor and Chairperson of the Vocational Training Corporation (VTC), Khaled Bakkar, visited a vocational training center in Ain Aouda near Rabat to review Morocco’s dual vocational training model.

According to a ministry statement Thursday, the visit was attended by Jordan’s Ambassador to Morocco Jumana Ghneimat and VTC Director General Ahmad Gharaibeh.

The Moroccan model combines 20% theoretical training with 80% on-the-job training at employers’ facilities, leading directly to employment opportunities, it added.

Bakkar stressed the importance of exchanging expertise between Jordan and Morocco in vocational training to better equip youth with the skills demanded by labor markets, praising Morocco’s successful approach.

He was briefed on recruitment mechanisms, training programs tailored to investment needs, and pathways that guarantee employment for trainees.

He also showcased Jordan’s vocational training experience led by the VTC, emphasizing ongoing efforts to align training with market needs.

At the conclusion of the visit, Bakkar toured a vehicle wiring manufacturing plant where youth receive practical training ending with employment. He also presented the Moroccan side with commemorative shields produced by the VTC.
