30-09-2025 04:42 PM

Ammon News - The Crown Prince Foundation (CPF) on Tuesday announced the second edition of the Maker Collective, scheduled for October 25 at the Al Hussein Cultural Center and Ras Al Ain Hangar in Amman.

The event, part of the Maker Space program, seeks to promote innovation and entrepreneurship by uniting makers, students, researchers, entrepreneurs, and artists in a national platform for exchanging experiences, building partnerships, and advancing technological solutions. The first edition last year drew over 5,200 visitors from across the Kingdom.

According to a CPF statement, this year’s forum will feature a major exhibition with more than 100 innovators, startups, students, and artists showcasing their projects. Academic institutions and specialized organizations will also participate.

The program includes six free hands-on workshops in design, digital manufacturing, technology, and handicrafts, as well as interactive activities such as drone simulations and robotics experiments. Nine experts will lead discussion sessions on innovation, technology, and entrepreneurship, complemented by "Mini Talks Tour" success stories.

International speaker Daniele Ingrassia, founder of In-Machines, will deliver a keynote on open-source machine design and advanced manufacturing.

New features of this edition include an "Expert Corner," offering participants private mentoring sessions with 16 experts, and the launch of Jordan’s first mobile digital manufacturing lab, equipped with 3D printers, CNC machines, and laser cutters. The event will also unveil the "Maker Map," an online platform mapping labs, workshops, suppliers, and support programs nationwide.

The forum is open to all ages free of charge from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Pre-registration is required for workshops and "Expert Corner" sessions via the website: https://cpf.jo/themakercollective2025/.
