Ammon News - Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Huneiti on Monday received EU Ambassador to Jordan Pierre-Christophe Chatzisavas at the General Command headquarters of the Jordan Armed Forces- Arab Army (JAF).

During the meeting, attended by senior JAF officers, they talked about regional and international developments of mutual interest, as well as prospects of enhancing military cooperation and coordination.

The army chief referred to the strategic partnership between Jordan and the EU, stressing the need to deepen and expand relations to address common challenges and promote international peace and security.

For his part, the EU envoy commended Jordan’s pivotal role, under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, in promoting regional stability, praising the efficiency of JAF in its humanitarian, relief, and medical contributions.
