Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The Jordanian Ambassador in Tel Aviv, Ali Al Ayed, said that Israeli authorities will return 17 confiscated passports within 24 hours, including seven Jordanian passports out of a total of 9 passports confiscated when Israeli authorities detained activists on board the Gaza-bound Freedom Flotilla humanitarian aid convoy last week.
Al Ayed said in statements to 'Ammon News' on Monday that the Jordanian Embassy in Tel Aviv "succeeded in pressuring the Israeli government" to return many passports of nationals of Arab and Muslim countries, including Kuwait, Algeria, Morocco, Oman, Pakistan and Indonesia.
The Ambassador added that the Jordanian Embassy asked the Israeli government to "search" for the two remaining Jordanian passports it had confiscated from the activists.
