Ammon News - The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities announced Thursday that Jordan's tourism sector continues to achieve positive performance indicators, as the Kingdom welcomed approximately 595,000 international visitors during June 2025, achieving an 8% increase compared to the same month in 2024, when the number of visitors reached approximately 551,000, despite the regional circumstances witnessed during June.
The total number of international visitors during (April-June) of 2025 also increased to 1.784 million visitors, a growth rate of 23% compared to the same period in 2024, with 1.452 million visitors.
During the first half of 2025, the total number of international visitors reached 3.292 million, an increase of 18% compared to the same period in 2024, when the number of visitors reached 2.786 million.
The number of overnight visitors during the first six months of 2020 rose to 2.717 million, compared to 2.375 million during the same period in 2020, a 14% increase. Meanwhile, the number of single-day visitors reached approximately 575,000, compared to 411,000 during the same period in 2020, a remarkable growth rate of 40%.
Tourism revenues during (January-May) of 2025 reached approximately JD2.167 billion, a 16% increase compared to the same period in 2024, when tourism revenues amounted to approximately JD1.873 billion. Tourism revenues also rose by 18% during May alone, reaching JD447 million, compared to JD380 million in May 2024.
