Ammon News - Captain Haitham Misto, Chairperson of the Board of Commissioners of the Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission (CARC), said on Thursday that passenger traffic through Queen Alia International Airport has returned to normal, following recent regional tensions.
There has been a significant increase in the number of passengers, with Queen Alia Airport registering 25,000 passengers last Monday, Misto added, noting that this number is only 3% lower than the daily average.
In addition, Misto expects the number of passengers to increase in the coming period, with many airlines resuming flights to and from Jordan.
28 major airlines operate flights to and from Jordan, he explained, adding that most of them have resumed flights to Queen Alia Airport, with the remaining airlines gradually returning.
