Iraqis allowed to enter Jordan without prior visa

Ammon News - The Ministry of Interior has decided to allow Iraqi passport holders to enter the Kingdom via Queen Alia International Airport without the need to obtain a prior visa, according to according to ministry spokesperson Abdul Karim Abu Dalo.

The spokesperson told Al-Mamlaka on Wednesday that the decision was made to facilitate the passage of Iraqi citizens through Jordan, especially in light of the closure of Iraqi airspace to air traffic due to recent developments in the region.

Entry visas will be issued immediately at the airport following a brief interview with relevant authorities, subject to payment of the prescribed fees., he added, emphasizing that travelers will be guaranteed safe departure until the situation returns to normal and air traffic resumes in Iraq.

This measure is a temporary exception, and comes within the framework of the facilities the Kingdom is providing to its Iraqi brothers in these exceptional circumstances, the spokesperson pointed out.
