Ammon News - Royal Jordanian Airlines began operating additional flights to various destinations on Saturday to accommodate passengers unable to travel on Friday due to the temporary airspace closure, according to CEO of Royal Jordanian, Samer Majali.
Majali said the Royal Jordanian Airlines is working to operate these flights according to available capabilities, whether from Amman Airport or external stations, to compensate passengers who were unable to travel on time.
Main flight schedule resumed as usual on Saturday morning, with some minor delays on a number of flights to Gulf countries and Europe, he added, stressing that the focus at this stage is on operating the day's scheduled flights, in addition to additional flights.
Majali noted that Royal Jordanian is closely observing the developments in coordination with the Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission, security agencies, and the Jordanian Armed Forces to assess the need for any adjustments to air traffic.
