Jordanian community celebrates 79th Independence Day in Chicago

Ammon News - The Jordanian community in Chicago organized on Monday a large march and celebration to mark Jordan's 79th Independence Day.

The march was widely attended by members of the Jordanian and Arab communities from Chicago and several neighboring US states.

The march began in front of the Jordanian Consulate in Chicago and proceeded to one of the city's major squares in the south of the city.

More than 1,000 people attended the celebration, which began with the Jordanian national anthem and was followed by a speech from Ihsan Sweis, the Consul General of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in Chicago.

The celebration was organized by Saad Al-Hayari, Mohammed Al-Assaf, Ahmed Abu Zaid, and Muawiya Al-Shuwayyat, who appreciated the community's support and great interaction with this national occasion.
