Nine Palestinians killed in ongoing Israeli strikes on Gaza

25-05-2025 11:11 AM

Ammon News - At least nine Palestinians were killed and others injured since the early morning hours of Sunday in continued Israeli airstrikes across the Gaza Strip, amid a worsening humanitarian catastrophe caused by fuel shortages and restricted aid access amid a tightened Israeli blockade on the territory.

Five Palestinians were killed in an Israeli airstrike that targeted a two-story residential home in Jabalia, in northern Gaza.

Two others were killed and several injured when Israeli warplanes struck the Al-Amoudi family home west of Khan Younis, in the south.

Another person was killed and others wounded in a strike that hit a tent sheltering displaced families in the Al-Mawasi area, also west of Khan Younis.

Medical sources reported that 52 Palestinians, most of them women and children, have been killed in the past 24 hours alone due to the intensified aerial bombardment that continues to affect all regions of the Gaza Strip.

The ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza since October 2023 has so far resulted in at least 53,901 documented Palestinian fatalities, with over 122,593 others injured.

Thousands of victims are feared trapped under rubble, inaccessible to emergency and civil defense teams due to Israeli attacks.

Israel's genocidal attacks continue unabated despite calls from the UN Security Council for an immediate ceasefire and directives from the International Court of Justice urging measures to prevent genocide and alleviate the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza. WAFA
