Ammon News - Prime Minister Jafar Hassan on Wednesday conducted a field inspection tour for several sites in Wadi Araba district of Aqaba Governorate, focusing on healthcare, education, and tourism facilities, as part of his ongoing efforts to monitor public services in the Kingdom.
The tour included visits to the Rahma Primary Health Center and the Risha Comprehensive Health Center. At both locations, the Prime Minister met with medical staff, citizens, and patients, directing that necessary equipment and medical specialists be provided.
The PM also ordered overall maintenance at the Rahma center and called for expanding and modernizing the laboratory at the Risha center to enhance healthcare services.
At Bir Madhkur Mixed Secondary School, the premier listened to concerns of the teaching staff and instructed the construction of additional classrooms, the establishment of a library and garden, and the renovation of the school’s facilities and playground.
Accompanied by Minister of Tourism Lina Annab, Hassan also toured the Feynan Museum in the Wadi Feynan area.
The museum, which opened in 2018, features archaeological and natural exhibits, mainly ancient stone artifacts and a large-scale model of the region.
During the visit, he met with local community leaders to discuss tourism development and local service needs.
Concluding the tour at the Feynan Ecolodge, an internationally acclaimed ecotourism destination, the PM directed the expansion of its solar energy project to reduce operational costs and increase its year-round capacity, especially during peak summer months.
The lodge currently supports around 80 local families and has received more than 40 international awards for sustainable tourism practices.
