Ammon News - Head of the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) Raed Al Khattab, on Tuesday, said that the last rainy season was the weakest since the 1978-1979 season.
Al Khattab explained in a statement that most regions of the Kingdom achieved their general seasonal averages during the last season, with the exception of the southern regions. Meanwhile, the current 2024/2025 rainy season remains weak and below average to date in all regions of the Kingdom.
Climate statistics from the department indicate that the current 2024/2025 rainy season is the weakest since the 1978/1979 season, Al Khattab added.
