Ammon News - The total value of bounced checks during April reached JD119 million, compared to JD84 million in March and JD82 million in February.
According to data from the Jordan Payments and Clearing Systems Company (JoPACC), the total value of checks in circulation in Jordan reached JD3.48 billion in April, JD3.1 billion in March, and JD3.2 billion in February.
In April, the total number of bounced checks 21,700, 70.4% of which were for financial reasons and 29.6% for technical reasons, with a value of JD21,700.
The value of checks circulating in Jordan in April reached 588,000, a 19.6% increase from the previous month's 91,000, while the number of checks in February reached 464,000.
