Ammon News - A team of international lawyers is preparing to deliver an oral argument on behalf of Jordan on Wednesday before the International Court of Justice (ICJ) at the Peace Palace in The Hague.
Jordan's pleadings will start at 4 p.m. The Hague time (5 p.m. Amman time), and will last 30 minutes, according to the court's agenda.
The International Court of Justice began on Monday public hearings regarding Israel's obligations regarding the presence and activities of the United Nations and other international organizations in the occupied Palestinian territories, as the hearings will continue until Friday, May 2, 2025.
The court's agenda indicated that 44 countries and 4 international organizations had expressed their intention to participate in the proceedings before the court.
South Africa, Algeria, Saudi Arabia, Belgium, Colombia, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, and Spain presented their oral pleadings on Tuesday.
Nine countries will present their arguments on Wednesday, with the sessions beginning with the United States' argument at 10:00 a.m. and concluding with Luxembourg's argument at 5:45 p.m. Russia, France, Hungary, Turkey, Iran, Jordan, and Kuwait will also present their arguments before the court.
