Ammon News - The media spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate (PSD) said that the Southern Region Security Command/Aqaba Police Directorate, the Gendarmerie Forces, and security services, in coordination with the Customs Anti-Smuggling Department, on Monday carried out a large-scale security campaign against smugglers in Aqaba Governorate.

The campaign and accompanying raids led to the arrest of three smugglers in possession of quantities of materials intended for smuggling, the media spokesperson confirmed.

During the campaign, 13 unlicensed vehicles were seized, most of which did not have license plates and were being used for smuggling purposes.

Legal action will be taken against them.
