MoU signed to bolster Jordan's archiving prospects

Ammon News - Documents, Manuscripts, and Levant Studies Center at University of Jordan and Amman and Gulf Center for Strategic Studies on Sunday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to enhance joint cooperation in the fields of archiving, preserving, and maintaining historical assets.

The memo aims to exchange joint expertise, leverage each team's know-how to carry out, run and document various archiving processes and restore organic materials.

The MoU also seeks to open horizons for scientific research in the field of national and international document management and restoration.

Under the memo, joint activities and exhibitions are held to introduce each party's manuscripts and organize training courses on paper and e-archiving processes, as well as information preservation, management, and documentation.

On other goals, the agreement would help release books, or academic periodicals, in the documentation, strategic studies, and intellectual, cultural, and literary publishing aspects.
