09-04-2025 09:02 AM

Ammon News - Captain Haitham Misto, the Chief Commissioner of the Jordanian Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission (CARC), confirmed that 10 companies have submitted applications to obtain drones for use in various sectors.

Misto told Al-Mamlaka that a number of tourist countries completely ban the use of drones, but Jordan is working to regulate this.

He explained that drones will contribute to the advancement of the agricultural sector and others, as new services will include parcel delivery and security monitoring of facilities.

Misto expressed his belief that drone-delivered pizza could soon become a reality, pointing out that all sectors, even entertainment, are now accessible for drone applications.

Any company that obtains a license to own a drone will be exempt from security escorts, he pointed out.
