Ammon News - The National Petroleum Company (NPC) has issued a pre-qualification tender for a Lump Sum Turnkey (LSTK) contract to drill 80 gas wells at the Risha Gas Field over a three-year period.
In line with its strategy to ramp up gas production, NPC is inviting experienced contractors to participate in the project, which may be extended based on contractor performance. The undertaking will require three drilling rigs, each with a capacity of 1500 to 2000 horsepower.
NPC noted that current revenues are insufficient to fully finance the project. To support the initiative, the government will allocate JD 87 million, while the remaining costs will be covered through gas sales revenues.
The tender is designed to enhance drilling efficiency and boost output from the Risha field. Qualified drilling companies are encouraged to apply.
Further information is available on the NPC website [www.npc.com] and in national newspapers. The submission deadline for bids is April 15, 2025.
