Ammon News - The U.S. Embassy in Jordan published on Saturday an article by Consul General Daniel Gadacht titled "Don't Risk Your Future," warning against attempts to enter or remain in the United States illegally.

In his Arabic article, the consul emphasized that the result of such actions would be arrest. Severe penalties would be imposed on anyone who attempts to enter the United States illegally, lies to obtain a visa, works without legal authorization, or remains in the United States after their visa expires. These penalties include imprisonment, deportation, and a permanent ban on obtaining a U.S. visa in the future.

"If you have friends or family members in the United States illegally, now is a good time to ask them to return home," Gadacht added.
