Ammon News - Royal Jordanian Airlines operated a test flight to Aleppo International Airport on Sunday, in preparation for resuming flights to Aleppo after a 14-year hiatus.
This follows the rehabilitation of Aleppo International Airport and its opening last week.
Royal Jordanian (RJ) President/CEO Samer Majali said that Royal Jordanian is the first international airline to land at Aleppo International Airport.
The trial flight will be accompanied by a delegation from Royal Jordanian Airlines, Jordanian Civil Aviation, and relevant stakeholders to review the Aleppo airport's equipment, Majali stated.
If preparations are completed, official flights will be operated to Aleppo Airport next month, he added.
It's worth noting that Royal Jordanian resumed flights to Damascus International Airport last month, with 11 weekly flights to the airport.
