Ammon News - Minister of Health, Dr. Firas Hawari, on Saturday visited the new Princess Basma Hospital in Irbid to check on readiness of the plans in place to move from the current building to the new headquarters after officially completing the project's construction.
During his visit, Hawari toured wards of the new hospital project and instructed to put plans in place for its operation and prioritize need to ensure "smooth" healthcare services due to relocation timeline.
Hawari stated the new hospital's operational plan will be "gradual," affirming measures to avoid disruption of healthcare services, amid the relocation of medical equipment and transfer of medical and non-medical staff to the new headquarters.
The minister also affirmed provision of modern equipment, supplies and the required additional staff to meet the the new hospital's needs.
This process should align with the Ministry of Health's new policy of "gradually" opening and operating healthcare facilities, aimed to train healthcare personnel and ensure "high" readiness upon full operation of the hospital, he said.
The minister added that the project was designed to "efficiently" serve the public and serve as a referral center for all ministry hospitals.
The project, he noted, would be equipped with modern medical equipment to provide the required healthcare services.
On its vision, he noted the ministry is working to improve provision of medical services in all its hospitals and health centers, and raise "level, efficiency, and readiness" of their infrastructure to provide the "best" services to patients. Petra
