Ammon News - The national football team is set to face South Korea on Tuesday at 2:00 PM (Amman time) at the Suwon World Cup Stadium in Seoul as part of the third and final round of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
The team aims to secure a victory or at least a draw to strengthen its chances of direct qualification for the tournament, a historic first for Jordan.
The final training session is scheduled for Monday at the match venue under the guidance of Moroccan coach Jamal Sellami, who is finalizing the squad selection for the crucial encounter.
Jordan currently occupies second place in Group B with 12 points, level with Iraq but behind on goal difference. South Korea leads the standings with 15 points, followed by Oman with 7, Kuwait with 5, and Palestine with 3.
The qualification format divides teams into three groups of six, with the top two from each group earning direct entry to the 2026 World Cup. Teams finishing third and fourth will advance to the fourth round of qualifiers for another chance at securing a spot in the tournament.
