Ammon News - Israeli occupation forces are continuing their wide-scale assault on the city of Jenin and its refugee camp for the 55th consecutive day, with ongoing demolition and burning of homes by the Israeli troops, and the conversion of others into military posts.
Israeli forces are still setting fire to homes in the Jenin refugee camp, with several houses burned yesterday. Israeli troops also fired flares near Al-Zahra School on the outskirts of the camp last night.
Additionally, Israeli forces have blocked the entrance to Jenin Government Hospital with dirt barriers, and military vehicles continue patrolling the surroundings of the camp and various streets of the city.
Israeli tanks and armored vehicles are also stationed around the camp, while bulldozers continue to raze streets and widen others for military vehicle access.
Since the beginning of the assault, Israeli forces have completely demolished around 120 homes in the camp, leaving around 20,000 residents displaced. Dozens of other homes have also been damaged.
Meantime, in the nearby village of Jalqamous, southeast of Jenin, Israeli forces raided several homes last night and turned them into military barracks.
Furthermore, Israeli forces stormed the towns of Qabatiya, Bir Al-Basha, and Ya'bad, deploying military vehicles in the streets, though no detentions have been reported.
Since the start of the Israeli assault on Jenin on January 21, 2025, 34 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces, dozens more injured, and significant damage has been inflicted on both public and private infrastructure. WAFA
