Ammon News - Ministry of Labor signed a partnership agreement with Jordan Postal Company (JPC) on Thursday to provide work permit renewal services for non-Jordanian workers in its postal offices.
According to the ministry's statement, Minister of Labor Dr. Khaled Bakkar and JPC Chairman, Sami Daoud, signed the agreement.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Bakkar said the step aims to save employers' effort and time in issuing or renewing work permits for non-Jordanian workers, by taking advantage of 350 post offices across the Kingdom.
Bakkar added that the ministry will provide 8 services through post offices for foreigners' permits, as well as services for the local community and people with disability.
Meanwhile, Dawoud affirmed joint cooperation represents the beginning of a new phase in improving government services.
Dawoud noted the JPC continues its efforts to provide the "best" solutions and commitment to providing "distinguished" services.
Dawoud added that this effort would contribute to facilitating government procedures and providing "innovative" services in line with the visions of administrative modernization. Petra
