Ammon News - The demolition of Palestine Hospital, the oldest private hospital in Jordan, has angered Jordanians, who consider it a historical legacy.
Palestine Hospital was opened in 1960 by the late King Hussein bin Talal, and His Majesty King Abdullah bin Hussein was born there two years after its construction was completed.
The hospital building is located on nine acres, and provided services in various branches of medicine and surgery, and excelled in the field of brain and nerve surgery, and contained 46 beds.
Jordanians considered the demolition of the building a demolition of Jordanian heritage and the memories of the city’s people, and an assassination of the stone that bears witness to the nation’s civilization.
