Ammon News - Jordan's UN envoy Mahmoud Al-Hamoud said on Tuesday that the scale of the humanitarian tragedy in Gaza requires an urgent and comprehensive international response that ensures the delivery of the necessary aid without restrictions.

During the Council's open discussion session on the situation in the Middle East, including the Palestinian issue, Al-Hamoud added that Jordan is working to increase aid to the Gaza Strip as a major aid center.

Al-Hamoud stressed during his speech to the Council the importance of launching a serious and comprehensive effort to rebuild Gaza in a way that ensures meeting the needs of the affected population and rebuilding the infrastructure.
