Ammon News - The government began implementing the second phase of the gradual increase in water and sanitation tariffs, for consumption brackets, at the beginning of 2025.

According to the second phase, which Ammon has reviewed, the fixed water tariff for the first bracket, which consumes 6 m3 or less per month, will rise to JD0.255, an increase of JD0.7 piasters, while the tariff will increase by JD0.5 per cubic meter for the 2nd bracket, which consumes water between 7-12 m3, and will rise by JD0.10 for the 3rd bracket, which consumes water between 13-18 m3, and will rise by JD0.5 for the 4th bracket, which consumes water between 19-24 m3, and JD0.10 per cubic meter for the 5th bracket, which consumes quantities between 25-30 m3, and the tariff will remain fixed for the 6th bracket, which consumes between 31-42 m3, and the 7th bracket, whose monthly consumption exceeds 42 m3.

As for the sanitation tariff, the fixed tariff will remain fixed on the first bracket at JD0.23 piasters, while it will increase by JD0.1 per cubic meter on the 2nd bracket, JD0.20 on the 3rd bracket, and JD0.10 on the 4th bracket, and it will be fixed on the 5th, 6th and 7th brackets.

The first segment of the number of subscribers in the Kingdom represents about 29%, the second segment about 31%, the third segment about 22%, the fourth segment about 10%, the fifth segment about 4%, the sixth segment about 3%, while the seventh and final segment, whose monthly consumption exceeds 42 cubic meters, represents 1%.
