29-12-2024 08:04 AM

Ammon News - Most parts of the Kingdom will experience cold and partly cloudy weather on Sunday, with mild temperatures limited to the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. The Meteorological Department reported the possibility of light morning showers in the far north, accompanied by moderate southwesterly winds.

The department warned of frost formation in the early morning over high southern mountain areas and parts of the Badia region. Additionally, visibility may be reduced due to low-lying clouds, particularly in the northern and central highlands.

A drop in temperatures is expected on Monday, bringing levels 3-4 C below the seasonal average. The weather will be predominantly cold, with intermittent rain forecasted in northern and central regions. The rain may intensify at times, accompanied by thunder and hail, and is expected to extend to parts of the eastern and southwestern regions. Winds will remain southwesterly and may occasionally become active.

On Tuesday, the cold weather continues, with partly cloudy to overcast skies across most regions. Rainfall is anticipated in several areas, especially in western parts of the country. Some rain may be heavy, with chances of thunder and hail. By evening, rain will subside, and the weather will turn very cold, with fog likely to form over highlands and plains.

Wednesday’s weather is forecast to remain cold in most regions, while the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba will see mild conditions. Low clouds are expected, particularly in southern areas, with moderate northwesterly winds.

In East Amman, temperatures are expected to range between 13 C and 7 C, while West Amman will see cooler conditions between 11 C and 5 C. The Northern Highlands will experience temperatures between 9 C and 3 C, and the Sharah Highlands will range from 10 C to 2 C. In contrast, the Dead Sea and Aqaba will have milder weather, with temperatures ranging between 21 C and 10 C. Petra
