Ammon News - The number of cybersecurity incidents detected during the third quarter of 2024 reached 1,656 incidents, an increase of 4.7% over the second quarter of the same year, according to data from the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC).
No cyber incident classified as “extremely serious” was recorded for the third consecutive quarter of the year, according to the data.
The number of incidents categorized as “serious” 31, down 34% from the second quarter of this year.
While the number of detected accidents classified as “medium serious” increased during the third quarter of this year by 8.9% to reach 1,536 accidents, compared to 1,411 accidents in the second quarter of 2024.
As for “low-risk” accidents, they reached 98 accidents in the third quarter of 2024, down 21% from the previous quarter.
