Al-Safadi attends Riyadh meeting for Arab summit

Ammon News - Today, Sunday, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Al-Safadi starts a working visit to Riyadh, where he will attend the foreign ministers' preparatory meeting for the extraordinary Arab and Islamic summit.

The meeting of foreign ministers is set to start at 11:30 am to address the ongoing Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip, the conflict in Lebanon, the Israeli Knesset's choice to prohibit the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) from functioning in the occupied Palestinian territories and its significant consequences, along with recent developments in the area.

The session will be led by Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan, who will give the inaugural address, then the Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Hussein Taha, will speak, followed by the Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, Ahmed Aboul Gheit.
