Gov't: 66 projects ongoing, 30 more planned in Karak

Ammon News - An e-government platform revealed that there are a total of 96 development projects in progress in Karak Governorate, with 66 currently being carried out and 30 planned for the future.

Data from the new government electronic platform shows the approved projects' progress and costs in Karak and other governorates, totaling 233,314 million dinars.

The Ministry of Water and Irrigation was at the top of the list for both the highest number and cost of projects in Karak, with 15% of all ministry projects. This includes 14 projects totaling 59.5 million dinars, with 8 currently being implemented and 6 planned for the future.

The platform clarified that 14% of the projects in Karak belong to the Ministry of Public Works and Housing, totaling 13 projects. 5 projects are currently being worked on while 8 are planned for the future, costing 31.9 million dinars.

Next in line were the initiatives of the Ministry of Labor, accounting for 11% of all projects with a total of 11 projects at a cost of 13.7 million dinars. The Ministry of Agriculture followed closely behind with 10% of projects totaling 16.1 million dinars spread across 10 projects, 9 of which are currently being carried out. The Ministries of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, and Holy Places, as well as Tourism and Antiquities, each had 6% of projects with 6 initiatives in total. The cost of Awqaf projects stood at 7 million dinars, and tourism projects were valued at 3.4 million dinars.

noticing that the Ministries of Culture and Digital Economy, Environment, Youth, Health, Education, Industry, Trade, and Supply each account for 4% of the total percentage.

Data shows that the Ministry of Industry and Trade's projects cost 16,875 million dinars, Ministry of Education's cost 13,973 million dinars, Ministry of Health's cost 7,325 million dinars, Ministry of Youth's cost 4,323 million dinars, Ministry of Environment's cost 2,070 million dinars, Ministry of Digital Economy's cost 870 thousand dinars, and Ministry of Culture's cost 680 thousand dinars.

Regarding the Ministries of Energy and Mineral Resources and Social Development, the proportion of projects is 3% of all projects.

The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources costs 9,388 million dinars, while the Ministry of Social Development costs 4 million dinars.

On Wednesday, the Prime Ministry unveiled a new website to showcase the status of projects approved by the Council of Ministers. It also shared updates from the Prime Minister's weekly field visits and the government's actions afterward, covering 14 sites across 4 governorates.
