Ammon News - The Petroleum Derivatives Pricing Committee, during its monthly meeting, announced on Monday an drop in the prices of gasoline and diesel for the period from October 1-31.
The committee reviewed global crude oil and derivative prices for September, comparing them to August's figures. The analysis showed an drop in global prices for 90 and 95-octane gasoline and diesel in September.
After applying the price equation based on global prices, the committee determined the adjustments: a 25-fils increase per liter for both 90 and 95-octane gasoline and a 40-fils increase per liter for diesel.
The price of 90-octane gasoline will drop to JD0.860 per liter, up from JD0.885. The price of 95-octane gasoline will drop to JD1.095 per liter, up from JD1.125. Diesel prices will drop to JD0.655 per liter, from JD0.695.
The committee decided to maintain the price of kerosene at JD0.620 per liter and keep the price of a domestic gas cylinder (12.5 kg) at JD7.
