FM, Australian counterpart discuss developments in Gaza

Ammon News - Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi received Wednesday a phone call from his Australian counterpart Penny Wong, during which they discussed developments in Gaza and the dangerous Israeli escalation in the West Bank and the region.

Safadi and Wong discussed a number of bilateral issues and stressed their keenness to develop cooperation and strengthen relations between the two countries in various fields.

During the call, Safadi stressed the need to unite all efforts to stop the Israeli aggression on Gaza and the West Bank, and to end all illegal Israeli measures in the West Bank and the Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem.

Safadi also stressed that stopping the aggression is the first step towards reducing regional escalation.

The two ministers discussed cooperation in efforts to deliver humanitarian aid to all parts of the Gaza Strip.
