Ammon News - Director General of the Jordan Food and Drug Administration (JFDA), Nizar Mahidat, said that the administration conducted 43,960 inspection visits to food establishments during the current year, and the number of closures reached 290 for health or other violations, in addition to 1,142 inspection visits to pharmaceutical and non-pharmaceutical establishments.
During the Government Communication Forum, which was titled "Food and Drug Security: Achievements and Challenges," Mahidat added that the administration plays a qualitative supervisory role over the institutions responsible for producing and selling food in the Kingdom, explaining that the administration’s evaluations are internationally accredited.
