Ammon News - Minister of Social Development and Chair of the Ministerial Committee for Women's Empowerment, Wafa Bani Mustafa, on Monday underscored the significant role of the Irbid Reconstruction Foundation in advancing development goals.
During a meeting with the Foundation's Executive Council and Women's Committee, Bani Mustafa emphasized the importance of integrating development-focused projects into the foundation's efforts.
She expressed the ministry's commitment to collaborating with the foundation on various women's empowerment programs, particularly in sustainable productive projects that benefit not only Irbid but other governorates as well.
Bani Mustafa highlighted the Ministerial Committee's contributions to women's empowerment following His Majesty King Abdullah II's launch of the three reform paths political, economic, and administrative. She noted the development of a women's empowerment strategy within the Economic Modernization Vision, including the launch of the "School of Political Participation," which has trained over 340 women in political and party work to enhance their participation in political life.
The minister also emphasized the importance of recent constitutional amendments aimed at empowering women and ensuring their active role in society, as well as the "You Are Half the Country" initiative, which promotes women's involvement in elections as both candidates and voters.
