Ammon News - Captain Haitham Mesto, Chief Commissioner of the Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission (CARC), said that some flights coming from western airspace to Jordan on Sunday morning, changed their course towards the south to be able to reach Jordanian airspace.

The precautionary measures announced by the CARC at the beginning of August proved effective, after some aircraft were diverted from western to southern airspace, without resorting to refueling as a result of the suspension of air traffic in Israel, Misto added.

The commission also asked all airlines landing at Jordanian airports to carry a reserve fuel sufficient for 45 minutes, due to the ongoing tension in the region between Iran and Israel.
