ACC's exports reach JD807 million over 7 months

Ammon News - The Amman Chamber of Commerce (ACC) has reported a 1.1% increase in the value of certificates of origin issued over the past seven months of 2024, compared to the same period in 2023. This growth reflects a rise in the export of goods to both Arab and international markets.

According to data from the Chamber, exports from Amman Trade totaled JD807 million during the first seven months of this year, up from JD798 million in the corresponding period last year.

The number of certificates of origin issued also saw a 5% increase, reaching 21,578 certificates compared to 20,555 during the same period in 2023.

These certificates were distributed to various countries, with Saudi Arabia receiving 6,111, the United Arab Emirates 2,346, Iraq 1,438, Egypt 648, and Switzerland 18.

The value of exports was allocated as follows: Iraq JD387 million, Saudi Arabia JD64 million, Egypt JD61 million, the UAE JD52 million, and Switzerland approximately JD50 million.

The data further indicate that re-exports of foreign products amounted to about JD400 million. Exports of industrial products totaled JD158 million, agricultural products JD104 million, and Arab products JD54 million, with the remaining value attributed to other product categories.

The Chamber of Commerce issues certificates of origin for Jordanian agricultural, animal, and natural resource products, as well as for foreign goods re-exported or purchased from the local market under specified conditions.

Additionally, certificates are issued for Jordanian industrial products based on the original factory invoice and a certificate of origin from an industrial chamber confirming Jordanian origin. Petra
