Ammon News - The Dow Jones industrial average closed at a new record-high level on Tuesday, posting its best daily performance since June 2023.

The blue-chip index, which includes 30 prominent American companies, jumped a massive 742 points, or 1.85%, to end the day at 40,954.

The index almost touched 41,000 points during the session by climbing to a fresh all-time high of 40,988.81 during trading hours.

The S&P 500, meanwhile, added almost 36 points, or 0.64%, to close at 5,667, while the Nasdaq gained nearly 37 points, or 0.2%, to 18,509.
