Tourism income declines by JD2.3 billion in 6 months

Ammon News - Tourism income achieved a growth of 2.1% during the month of June 2024, compared to the same month in 2023, to reach JD455.8 million ($642.9 million), according to preliminary data issued by the Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ).

During the first half of 2024, tourism income witnessed a decline of 4.9% compared to the corresponding period in 2023, recording a value of JD2.3 billion ($3.3 billion), due to a decline in the number of tourists by 7.9%.
