Israeli occupation forces demolish two homes in Jericho

14-07-2024 10:44 AM

Ammon News - Israeli occupation forces demolished two homes this morning in the village of Ein ad-Duyuk at-Tahta, in the occupied West Bank province of Jericho, according to local sources.

The demolitions targeted the residence of Abdul Raouf Erzekat, a local Palestinian citizen, and another belonging to a member of the Tahan family, along with the destruction of a retaining wall.

Local sources reported that Israeli forces accompanied by heavy machinery stormed the village early in the morning, carrying out the demolitions amid heightened tensions in the region.

This incident is part of a broader pattern of home demolitions in the West Bank, which have seen a steep rise since the outbreak of the Israeli aggression on Gaza in October 2023.

According to data from the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, Israeli occupation authorities have demolished 318 structures in the West Bank in the first half of 2024 alone.
